2022 ILCA Laser Masters

Registration, NOR and Rules

SHYC and the Shelburne Sailing Academy hosted the 2022 Laser Masters Atlantic Coast Championship this past August. This event was sanctioned by the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) as well as Sail Canada and Sail Nova Scotia.

The ILCA Masters ACC brought some 25 sailor/athletes, many with spouses, to Shelburne Harbour. They hailed from Nova Scotia, Ontario, Massachusetts, Maryland, Florida and even as far as Australia and enjoyed three+ days of competitive sailing and three+ nights of great food and entertainment.

9 races took place over those 3 days in winds ranging from 6-25 knts, offering competitors a full range of wind and wave environments in which to compete.

Masters ranged in age from 35 to 80.
25 Boats got on the water.
They came from NS, ON, the U.S. and even Australia.
